Board Bio
Pat Criscito is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) with more than 40 years of experience. She is the president and founder of ProType/ProWrite, Ltd., an international writing, editing, typesetting, and personal branding service established in 1980, and based in North Carolina. Pat is the author of 16 books for Barron’s, including e-Resumes, Resumes that Pop! (formerly called Designing the Perfect Resume), Barron’s Guide to Distance Learning, How to Write Better Resumes and Cover Letters, and Interview Answers in a Flash (all in their second, third, fourth, or fifth editions). She is also a contributing writer to The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, Colorado Springs Business Journal, and other publications. Pat has written more than 16,000 resumes and speaks nationally on career and entrepreneurial subjects. Pat is recognized as a global expert on applicant tracking system (ATS) software and electronic processing of resumes.
Pat was Treasurer of The National Resume Writers Association (NRWA) from 2009 to 2019, plus she held the position for five years in the early 2000s. She also served on the board of trustees of the Better Business Bureau Foundation for seven years and sat on the Pikes Peak National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) board of directors for two years. She was the co-founder and a board member of the Young Entrepreneurs Association for seven years, a unique entrepreneurial training/mentoring program for at-risk youth started by the Governor of Colorado in 2005. Pat is currently President of the Board of Directors for Desert Harvest, Felicity, Inc., and Felicity Farms, and she is an EDGE University certified entrepreneurial trainer. Pat enjoys reading, gardening, gourmet cooking, music, singing, and her menagerie of farm animals and dogs.
