United We Stand: DEI & The NRWA

We call it “unconscious bias” for a reason. Most well-meaning people don’t realize that some actions are offensive or leave groups out of the conversation.

In our effort to make the NRWA a welcoming place for all, and to integrate DEI awareness into all aspects of what we do, the DEI Committee is excited to host this necessary conversation. This is not about forcing new beliefs down your throats, but awareness does breed change.

We’ll address:

• The purpose and importance of DEI for you, for us, and for our clients.
• How awareness and support of DEI impacts and benefits the NRWA (and what can happen without this).
• Ways the NRWA can prioritize DEI initiatives to create a more diverse and inclusive membership body.

About the NRWA DEI Committee:

We aim to provide valuable opportunities to develop effective cross-cultural competencies for meaningful interaction with diverse job seekers in an increasingly competitive job market. To make these goals a reality, the organization is being intentional in its efforts to create a culture that recognizes, honors, and respects its diversity and commits to the implementation of actions that promote equity and inclusion.
